I don't know much about Sophie, but she seems to be respected in the provider community.

Yes the site is useful but not very interesting if say about their design or interface.

The craigslist type sites have a couple of advantages. First, they have no problem with old ads, since the ads get placed for a very limited time only (from 1 week to 1 month). So all the posts are relatively fresh and working. And it's very easy to place an ad. The ad usually brings you massive response within the first several days and then gradually declines. So you have to post ads there on regular basis.
