quote Leslie Layne :
... is anyone here afraid that explicit reviews could be used as evidence if you were ever caught by LE?
Its possible, but I don't believe its the major risk --- which is that LE could target providers in a sting operation based on the information provided in a review. For example, if a review mentioned specific (explicit) sex acts and that the provider did incalls ... this would be a roadmap for a LE sting operation. If you recall, this is what happened for the CraigsList busts except that it was based on provider advertising. Its not a great stretch to see the same risk in explicit reviews.
The reviews and what you post on bulletin boards are protected free speech. Which is why LE use undercover operatives to gather first party evidence and testimony, as well as recorded audio and video. Explicit reviews may make it difficult to make a strong defense or establish reasonable doubt.
LE are well aware of the TER and TBD boards. The TBD board was the object of LE action a number of years ago. I would be concerned about the high LE profile for the TER and TBD boards.
Its a tough decision to weigh the risks. I know I struggled with this one.
