Forum - New ad order

So we upgraded our sorting algorithm. This algorithm determines the position of ads in categories and search results, as well as gallery position in gallery search results. Now the priopity depends on the following factors:
- your activity,
- your reputation,
- if you have photos in your gallery,
- if you have avatar photo,
- if you verified your profile,
- for how long have you been a member of our site.
The first two are the major factors of approximately equal strength.
The next three factors can add up to 1/3 of priority on top of the firts two.
The last factor gives some temporarily advantage to the newest site members, so that they could compete with the old site members. This factor gradually declines with time, so after 2-3 months newbies lose their priviledges and become equal with the older site members.

Is there a need for a hobbyists to be "verified?" Is it even possible? Last but not least. I know you wrote how to do it but could you tell me, again? Thanks

No need, but it is possible. Photo verification is aimed at elimination of fake images, that some providers use in their ads. When provider is verified, it means that her/his images can be considered as authentic and real.

P.S. My avatar, of course, is an exception ;)

Thanks, I don't believe I need to be verified. I don't think too many people are going to be posting faked pictures of themselves flying through the air hanging by a rope. LOL.

paul...as usual your posts get me laughing early in the morning. i have a picture of me hanging off a rope repelling....maybe i should make that my main photo. problem is i think you are the only guy that would be interested!

I've been leaving you posts all over the forum and would like you to read the message I left for you in the forum To be Dominate or Not.

I'm deffinetly interested! I'd love to see that picture. If you go repelling I know you'd love zip lining. Same thing only going down a 700 to 11,000 to 25,000 foot line with out stopping. It's fantastic!!

What's with these + numbers I'm seeing. Is it the poll thing that you've been testing? Is that up and running or are people just rating what they read? Is it part of the new voting system?

It looks to me like a shorthand people are using in their posts to say that they voted for a person. +5 is a vote from Site Admin because he has a +5 reputation altering power. Kinda like a high five from Site Admin. ;)

so when are you taking me zip lining paul? i went repelling out of a helicopter by force courtesy of uncle sam...happy i did it now but cussed the entire time it was occuring.
