This is extremely cool.

If you took a picture of the sky at the same time every day, how would the Sun appear to move? The sun follows a figure-8 path over the course of a year ... this path is called an analemma.

This picture is a total solar eclipse analemma or Tutulemma. The composite image sequence was recorded from Turkey starting in 2005. The base image for the sequence is from the total phase of a solar eclipse as viewed from Side, Turkey on 2006 March 29.

Cool!
But why this Sun is so small?!! Or this is some kind of visual effect...
I also know that one of our planets (I suppose it is Venus) draws a 5-ray star while proceeding.

Guy, be more attentive. This is not Sun, this is Tutulemma!
I beg it's quite nice name for a star - such a sexy name) And the figure is very beautiful.

Astronomy rulez, IN FACT. Especially nowadays, when the astronomists are already saying that in recent 30 years they've made as many discoveries as in previous 3000!

I'm very interested in the astronomy, especially in earth-like faraway planets and asteroids. I'm sure that most of the info about them is not known even to the most genial scientists!

I'm even afraid of asteroids sometimes! Read an article about an asteroid called Apophis and the authors think it can fall on earth in 2036...awful new

Don't worry so much, as I've read this flying stone has almost no chance to hit our planet...only to spoil some satellites :)

Thank you Kotik. I think people who write popular articles like to swell dangers very much...perhaps this is a good example of such a writer.
