Personally I would feel that half is too steep.
The way I look at it is I know they take all the calls and all the complaints and do work, but they have one place to pay the bills on and have many girls to pay that phone bill and rent for that location etc... Where as I pay my own rent all by myself and do my own screening and advertising all myself. Now I know agencies pay more for advertising etc... so obviously deserve thier share but I have heard of agencies that take way less.
I feel if I were to work for an agency I would check to see how much advertising they are paying out and how well they do screen their clients, check to see what thier screening procedures are. That is one reason why I would preffer to remain independant.
Before rushing into any agency I would recommend doing your homework and find out how well paid the girls are and how well treated they are etc... Also I believe most would supply a driver if needed which is also an expense and independant would have to endure on her own if she was doing outcalls. Which if doing outcalls would be like a security blanket to know that you had a driver you could call if something were to go wrong.
But, I also believe that the rates could be different by location that you live at. The best advice I can give is to check out the rate of pay in different agencies in your area. Go with the one you feel most comfortable with.
