I would love to share a poem that is meaningful to me!
I have an interest in reading sometimes and it's always good to take in a good book sometimes too.
I would love to share a poem that is meaningful to me.

Sonnet 43 By: Elizabeth Barrett Browning

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and Ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quite need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, - I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life!- and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

I read this poem over a few times after reading it the first time. Then, I began thinking about what this poem meant to me. This poem describes a strong love that seems to go through everything in life and gets stronger as time goes by. Having that kind of love is certainly a great thing to have.

Thanks Paul and yes, it is a great poem. It sounds like he really loved her and that he loves you all as well. I love this poem as well! I will be away for the holidays and I'll be back in a few days. I hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving!

My grandfather had this in a picture frame, next to a picture of my grandmother, she had died before I was born. I read it many times and the only time I saw him cry was the 1st time I read it to him.
I know he love all us kids as well.
It is a great poem.
