Hi Paul, Yes, I agree with what you're saying about free will. It's what you do with that free will that counts too. I too have my shortcomings;but I rise to the occasion when needed by others and hopefully;maybe one day I'll be rewarded for it all. Hi Doll, If I had one special ability it would be to have 100% use of my brain functions. With that I believe I would be able to do all the things you mention. Yes, there is a higher power but, there is also free will. It is what we do with the abilities that we are given and I agree with what you said. We have the ability to help others, not only the ability but the responsiblilty. I do not believe that any God would wait for 40 years to punnish a group of sinners. Hi there, Yes, I do believe that things always happen for a reason and that there is a higher power in charge of things. I just believe that people in general should do whatever they can to help others in spite of their own weaknesses. I was suggesting that if I had a special ability what I would do with it because in my heart; I feel that we all have a responsibility to help one another in life. Even now, I may not have a special ability. I do have the ability to reach out from my weaknesses and flaws in my own life and help others where I can. I once also heard about a man on the news during this past summer that jumped onto another person to guard the other person from being run over by a train. This man had no special ability; but he did have the courage to reach out and help another person even though he was of a different race and he was a complete stranger to the other person. There are so many other stories similar to this one and I have experienced a lot of times in my life where others have helped me in dire needs. I believe in helping others no matter whether I have a special ability or not. I believe that we all are here on this earth for a purpose and I believe that we are all to love one another and take care of one another. I've gone through many things in my life and there have been many special people there to help me. Some were even strangers and everyone of them would not ask anything of me except that they would ask me to show mercy and help others in need as well. It's been like that my whole life. I am grateful for those people and I desire to help others because it gives me great joy. I wish you the best that life has to offer! I hope you have a great day and evening too! But don't you think God knows better when to take someone away, when and what should happen to a person? There is a good story about the great sinner, a murderer who was trying to escape God's punishment. Не knew that death's after him. When he felt the death was very close to him, he came aboard a ship that was to go far by the see. He thought that God would not allow so many people to die with him for his personal sins. When the ship was far in the sea the big storm came and the ship was about to sink. The man cried to God: "Yes, I am a sinner and I should be punished! But how you can kill all this innocent people with me?" And the God replied: "If only you know, I have been waiting for 40 years all this great sinners to gather on this single ship!"
