BACK ON TRACK!

What an eventful day i have had!!

I was meant to begin studies this month with the Open University & lets just say things havent really gone to plan or as expected.

I registered on a Teaching course a few months back to become a Primary School teacher, to then rec a call to advise me that the rules around teh enrollment for the course had changed & that now you have to have 2 years work-based experience around children (i.e classroom assistant, chlld minder, etc) To be honest this 2 years followed by my course would take me to 5 yrs from now & i just aint got that amount of time spare-lol. Not to mention how impatient i have become. Then i decided that maybe Social Work would be quite interesting & varied as a career move. No problem, i got the brains....but hey!!!! You have to be in a work environment to assist in such studies.

All this was happening & so my fears were unfolding, that i would still be here, not so busy, at teh age of ?????? Not a bad thing but theres a limit to what you can do at teh age of ???????????????? lol. I think u will know what i mean.

Anyways today i have found a few places that offer skills training whilst studying, i also found places that require volunteers in the field i want to explore so alas, all is not lost, my life is back on track!!

My studies will now have to wait until January when the course restarts after this term but by then i should have found some kind of placement whether it be paid or not and in the meantime im afraid you guys are stuck with me for a longish while!
