hello smoker hobbyists visiting thailand,since june 01 is not allowed to smoke in public place,like bar,pub,disco,restau .........so be carefull specially on fri n saturday lot of control by police in entertainment area.

Only “warnings and friendly education” will be dispensed until that date, according to a spokesman of the Royal Thai Police Department.
Commencing 1 June, proprietors still permitting smoking are liable to a penalty of 20,000 baht (650 US$) and, on repeated offences, the threat of suspension of their license, while individuals may be fined 2,000 baht (65 US$) each time they’re caught in the act.
A majority of establishments have opted to comply with the law from the first day, particularly venues run by foreigners who are usually under closer scrutiny by the authorities than those operated by locals.
